Blessed

I feel really blessed today for how things have worked out in our lives so far. On Sunday, Samuel and I had a discussion on how all these little things have worked out and how grateful we are. I'm still feeling this mood of gratitude, for how God has directed my life. I'm going to point out a few points of just how blessed I am.

1. My first feeling of gratitude comes from things that did not work out in my past. Many of you know that I was engaged about 4 months before I started writing Sam. About a month into my engagement my fiance broke it off and said that it did not feel right. At the time I was devastated. This guy was a nice guy, he just was not Samuel though. Seeing where I am now, I am so grateful that God directed both of us to not go through with that decision. I love Sam and I always have. I can't image my life being any other way!

2. Getting married! If you read our "how we became us" story, you know we are kind of crazy and got married quickly. I'll be honest it was scary to make such a big decision and do it all in a small amount of time, even with us having known each other for years, but I knew us getting married was the right choice. I am so glad that we did get married and that we did when we did. Which we both admit we were crazy haha, but it has definitely worked wonderfully.

3. Getting pregnant....Now I think this decision was way more scary and crazy. Originally, We had planned on waiting a year before having children. But Crazy us.... a couple months in we both felt really strongly that we should have a child. We were conflicted because we want a family, but we are in school. Ultimately, this feeling just got stronger and we prayed about it together and when we came got up from our prayer, both knew what we were suppose to do. We weren't expecting to get pregnant so fast, but apparently we are very fertile haha. We took our first pregnancy test and it came out negative. But a few days later I took another way because it said to try taking it four days later. We were expecting another negative and Sam looks at the test and says "It doesn't say not pregnant." We were shocked, excited, and nervous lol. As the months had come and we found out we are having a boy we are so excited! I can't wait for Burton to join our family. A special experience happened on Sunday and really confirmed these feeling. I wasn't feeling the greatest and I was about Burton because I am always paranoid about whether or not he is okay inside there. Sam gave me a priesthood blessing, for comfort about Burton and for my body. One thing that was said in my blessing really stuck out. He said that Burton was meant to come to our family and be apart of our family.  I felt so much peace when those words were spoken, I know that he is suppose to come and I am so glad that we will have the opportunities to be parents soon.

4. Family. Family has been such a blessing in our lives. Here in Tucson, we have Samuel's grandparents and Bother and his wife. We have had a lot of support here and Samuel's grandparents have been so great to us! My family has been so supportive and me find baby stuff for Burton. I am also so grateful for both of our parents they have been so great just supporting out decisions and they are just awesome! Then, Samuel's parents invited us to come live with them while Sam finishes school. He can get his degree in Yuma and it will still be through U of A. So, in May we will be moving to Yuma. I am so appreciative to Sam's parents for taking us in and for my parents being able to help us in Yuma too.

5. Sam's career choice. This is something that he actually brought to my attention. He is getting his degree in agriculture. He said he prayed about careers on his mission and that he felt like agriculture was the correct choice and he always wondered why Ag? He informed me on Sunday that he realized that agriculture is the only major in which he would be able to move to Yuma and still get a degree. Any other major we would of had to stay in Tucson and take out lots of loans. Because we decided to have Burton Yuma is the best option now and the Lord has opened the doors for us to do so.

Isn't it amazing how things work out. I am so so grateful for the paths that have been opened to us and the direction and guidance from our Heavenly Father. He truly has bless my life already and I'm so happy for what I have. I love Samuel and Burton. I feel so blessed to be with them and can't wait until Burton officially joins our family. God loves us!

Date Night and Wicked and other news...

It's been a while since I have blogged, but I'm back! It's been a busy past week I had a sewing job to finish and lots of homework, which is also why my house last week became a terror of a mess. But do not worry, I spent today cleaning and I am back to our nice and clean place! In addition to over coming my busy week, I was able to actually make dinner and brownies from scratch tonight! Needles to say I am  really happy to be done with my sewing and I think Sam is too.

Any who, last Monday Sam and I decide to take a break and go to the mall (one of our favorite date nights).  We began our usual start of stopping at the puppy store. They had Sam's favorite dog goldendoodles and the cutest beagles. We're defiantly dog lovers. We also had to pick up a Birthday gift for Sam's Dad. Then we made a build a bear for Burton! We are going to make it a tradition of making a bear for each kid we have and it was a lot of fun.
Our date then ended with food which is always a hard decision. I always want Mexican and Sam always wants pizza. Easy fix, I got tacos (from the best taco cart in the world, seriously they are awesome) and then we picked up a pizza for Sam haha. Everyone was happy and it was a great night.

Next we got to go see Wicked last Saturday! And.....it was awesome! We went with Sam's family and it was such a blast. They didn't have any posters to take a picture in front of so we just took it in front of the ticket office. (Isn't my husband the handsomest? I think so!)  Well that is it for now! More updates to come in the future!
